Tips for using music or audio recordings in online education
- Always follow the copyright guidelines for the material you are using.
- Using modern music or entire songs can be difficult. Most creators sell their rights to producers who control the copyright. You can check with the copyright owners for any special permissions you might need.
- You can always use appropriate portions of songs.
- Flipping the classroom is a great way to use podcasts.

- dig.ccmixter.orgMusic uploaded directly for musicians. You must give permission to the creator. Otherwise, they are free to use.
- Internet Archive - AudioContains thousands of recording from history including news reels, concerts, audiobooks, etc...

- NPR PodcastsNPR hosts numerous podcasts in a variety of topics including economics, history, politics, and the arts.
- New York Times PodcastsAnother selection of podcasts on a variety of topics including a daily briefing podcast for current events.
